Porter Trailers are based outside the town of Castlederg, Co Tyrone  NI also have a collection of David Brown and Case tractors from the 1940s to the 1980s.  Case tractors from the little 10hp garden tractors/lawnmowers  to the massive Scania engined 300hp equal wheeled  4890.   David Brown tractors from Cropmaster to 94 series and some well known models, red 990, white 990, 996, 1394,1690 etc and some not so popular,  900, 30TD crawler, Industrials and David Brown based forklifts.

You may ask why  we collect David Brown tractors. My father James bought  a  new DB 990 Implematic in 1962 and used it on a McConnell back actor until 1965 when the Fordson Super Major and Webb back actor arrived. The DB 990 was then used for farm and contract work. Another red 990 was bought in 1973 (see tractor restorations) A DB 1200 with Sta-Dri cab was bought in the late 1970s and kept for a short time before being replaced by a 1970 DB 990 Selectamatic with Sta-Dri cab reg no VPY 64J. It was sold at an auction in Castlederg in 1995 and went to Letterkenney, Co Donegal.(Does anyone know where it is?) The first Red 990 was sold in 1985 and replaced by a 1977 Q cab DB 885. A 1985 Case 1394 was purchased in 1995.  Since then other David Browns have been added to the collection including some bought for parts and found out they were worth restoring (see 1968 DB 990)

We carry out our own restorations and stock a range of parts for DB tractors and have  suppliers with stocks of parts that can be dispatched at short notice including:
